BRAZILIAN FAROFA

It is a tasty Brazilian accouterment that goes well with virtually everything. This week on Free Recipes, we'll show you how to make farofa, a dish that's delicious and crunchy that is made using tapioca flour, onion, and butter as a basis. This recipe is used with roast chicken, fish, or pork in Brazil. It is a very popular choice to add a crunchy and delicious touch to any dish because it is very affordable and simple to produce. We believe that the key to creating it is to sauté the onion thoroughly until it is brown, but we will walk you through every step and provide pictures to ensure that it comes out beautifully.

 


Ingredients 

  • 3 tbsp. butter, divided 
  • ½ finely chopped large onion (about 1 cup) 
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten 
  • 1½ cups Cassava Flour 
  • 1 tsp. Adobo with Pepper 
  • 1 tsp. finely chopped fresh parsley 
  • 4  Manzanilla Olives Stuffed with Pimientos 
  • chopped and sliced 4 sliced ​​hard boiled eggs

Instructions 

  1. In a 12" nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. When the onions are ready, add them and simmer them for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  2. To the skillet, add the eggs. Cook for about a minute while stirring with a spatula until barely heated through. Stir to melt the remaining butter. 
  3. Adobo and cassava or manioc flour Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the flour is crisp and brown. Insert the parsley. 
  4. Place in a serving basin and garnish with olives and sliced eggs. Whether hot or cool, serve.
